Between the Lines: The Clothing of Edna St. Vincent Millay - Yesha West

  • Islesboro Historical Society 388 Main Road Islesboro, Maine, 04848 (map)

All I could see from where I stood

Was three long mountains and a wood;

I turned and looked the other way,

And saw three islands in a bay.

Yesh West’s Masters of Arts thesis work examines Millay’s public and private personas as well as her relationship to homosexuality and heterosexuality, through the veil of her clothing.
